Wills Street Waste Water Treatment Plant

The Wills Street Plant was originally constructed in 1939, augmented in 1956 and upgraded in the 1980’s. It is a Trickling Filter Plant, comprising:
- Manually raked screens
- Grit removal
- Primary sedimentation
- Trickling filtration
- Secondary sedimentation
- Anaerobic sludge digestion (open unheated tanks).
The Plant treats approximately 4 ML per day.
