One provides non-potable (raw) water and the other potable (treated) water. The standpipe situated on Kanandah Road supplies untreated water and the standpipe situated on Pinnacles Road supplies treated water.

The standpipes are controlled with the use of a swipe card system which enables final readings on the quantity of water taken to automatically sent to Essential Water, eliminating the need of manually recording the amount of water taken.

The old standpipes will be decommissioned on Monday July 4, 2022.
